BOMEX
National CONFERENCE VISUAL DESIGN SYSTEM
BOMEX, Canada’s premier annual conference and exhibition for commercial real estate industry professionals, is a nationally-recognized event hosted by BOMA Canada and the regional association of the event location for the given year.
In 2022, it was BOMA NB/PEI's turn to host the 32nd Building Excellence Summit in Charlottetown, PE. With excitement building around the first in-person conference since the pandemic, the goal was to promote the upcoming conference as a highly sought-after destination for all attendees, amplifying the beauty, culture, food and endless excursions and activities delegates will surely want to experience.
As the conference design partner, FARON.DESIGN was tasked to develop and execute a visual design system to act as a standard guideline throughout each marketing and user-facing asset leading up to and during the conference.
For nearly two years leading up to the event, I led the design execution of the website and registration portal, sponsor/exhibitor sell packages, email and social media assets, an in-conference mobile event app, digital session intro visuals, presentation decks, as well as digital and printed way-finding signage (137 printed signs alone!).
In addition, Faron led the brainstorming, planning, directing and production-sourcing of the conference promo video - a tale of a conference-goer arriving in the Maritimes, weary from travel, only to experience a wild, mood-altering road trip around New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island before arriving at the conference destination.
The outcome was the first-ever sold-out BOMEX conference in 32 years, with Prince Edward Island 'starring the event' with delegates from across Canada and parts of the United States boasting about the regional culture, destinations, delicacies and the overall experience of the conference.
